Reviews
Food is lil overpriced but love their cc combo sauce. Friendly staff. Every time I come, I expect the bathroom door to have a better look but it keeps getting more gross. It costs around $25 to get a paint of can and a brush. Cant believe they neglect this.
Let me start off by saying WOW! I wasn't expecting much the first time I came here, but Claws and Craws did not disappoint. I've gone back twice since (3 total times within 2 weeks LOL). My favorite item on the menu is the shrimp (head-off) CC Combo TNT! The shrimp comes out piping hot & fresh and the flavor is soooo delicious and spicy. I was pleasantly surprised the first time I tried it and now I'm addicted. I like their shrimp more than Boiling Crab tbh. I also suggest getting a side of rice or garlic noodles (bonus points for mixing them in the shrimp juice lol). The cajun fries are also great and you can't go wrong with the fried bananas for dessert! The restaurant is clean and in a spacious layout. The staff is also SOOO friendly. They really make us feel so comfortable and we are quickly becoming regulars lol huge shoutout to Pam! They are all great tho. They also have live music sometimes! We went on a night with live music and it was such a good time! You will not regret going to Claws and Craws.
First time trying out this Cajun/creole boiling crab type of restaurant. Came in the afternoon the day before Mother's Day. I thought it was going to be busy and packed but surprisingly quiet. The girl who helped was very nice and attentive. She asked where we wanted to be seated? Table or booth? Of course we picked booth. I'd pick booth over table any day. I just want the sense of privacy. There were only three booths and way more tables but luckily one was available. If you've been to these type of restaurants the menu is very simple. Either you want the combo or per pound of whatever type of seafood you prefer. Then choose your sauce and heat preference. My daughter and I had a pound each of the shrimp and my husband had the Dungeness crab. The girl said they aren't in season so they had frozen not fresh. Appreciate she mentioned that but my husband loves crab so he ordered one anyway. We all chose mild with garlic butter. Ordered 3 cups of rice and gave us lemons/lime, vinegar, s&p,plates, spoon and fork and bibs. We didn't need to ask for it which is good but we did have to ask for gloves. Overall we enjoyed our food. Service was good. Price seems to be all the same if you go to these type of restaurants. It's not the cheapest meal but if it's good it's worth it. Glad we finally had the chance to check out this spot.
I eat here pretty often, so this review is long overdue. I enjoy the vibe in this place. They always play great music, have sports playing on the big screens, and all the waiters have been attentive and fast to respond. They are also really great at refilling water/beers. The food is okay, it gets me my cajun fix. I normally get a pound of shrimp with the cc combo in mild. The sauce isn't too spicy, its actually a tad bit sweet. I think this is a pretty unique taste because some of the other cajun places are more peppery or salty. Its like a sweet cajun, which I find quite delightful. Their cajun fries are pretty good too. I suggest coming for happy hour! Pretty good deal on their beer :)
I'm sad this spot closed down! Hands down one of the best spots and it was local too. Hope they will reconsider reopening in a different location one day.
